I'm not crying. I'm not. My eyes are just leaking, is all. After all, it's stupid to cry over ice skaters you don't even know, especially when they haven't even competed yet.

But I'm so happy. This makes my whole week.

Yay! That's great news!

I don't think it's stupid at all. I was devatated when Sergei Grinkov died. I cried and couldn't eat for days. I still, 10 years later, get misty when I think about it. :(

And you know who's screwed now? Nice try, Mrs. Mitchell, but Geller-Rabinowitz/Mitchell are definitely not going, unless both Silverstein/O'Meara AND Mitchel/Zavoisin blow it somehow, because thanks to this same bill, Max Zavoisin should be a citizen by January 28, too. (Of course the letter wasn't an attack on Tanith and Ben--G-R/M are in fifth, and deservedly, and it's M/Z who are competing with them for that third spot, since B/A and G/P are locks.)

US Dance team will be: Belbin/Agosto (so long as his groin injury is healed), Gregory/Petrukov, and either S/O'M or M/Z.

I'm not crying, but when my dad handed me the paper on Christmas Eve and pointed to the article saying Congress had passed the bill, I was pretty pleased. For B/A, certainly, but also for Matthews and Zavozin, who skate far better than they should at their age.

OK, so I'm a little smug as I imagine the look on Mrs. Mitchell's face when she got the news. I do wonder if David knew what his mom was doing. It sounded like he didn't or was uncomfortable with it, at least. At any rate, Geller-Rabinowitz and Mitchell would have to fight to make the team even with B/A and M/Z out of the picture.
