It begins-- in a few hours I leave for Disney World, where I am going to run the Disney's Princess Half Marathon on Sunday! OMG! My tiara's all packed and I can't wait to get there and see my fellow Flamingos. It's going to be EPIC!

One last reminder, and then I promise I won't mention it again: we're running in honor of our friend Mel, who was diagnosed with ALS in 2007. We have teamed up with the ALS Association of Georgia to raise money to find both a cure and treatments for ALS.

Please, if you can, would you donate $1 for every mile we are running? That would be 13.1 miles for $13.10. And even if all you have is $1 total, every little bit helps. Just click on the button-- you don’t even need a paypal account to donate, just a credit card. 100% of your donation (minus the small fee PayPal takes) goes to the ALS Association of Georgia. Not one penny goes towards administering this group or paying race fees, etc.

Have a great time! My friend Steve ran the Disney in Florida and said they really know how to throw a race.

I also have local friends who are doing things for Fiver's Flamingos. So it's kinda cool that two different parts of my fandom friends are connected.

Yeah almost all of the other girls live in the Southeast somewhere! I love that I know people from all over. :) Rogue didn't come this year although we're working on him for next year! Janine's husband Ron was lonely.
