GRE prep progress
Nov. 8th, 2002 02:34 amToday I took the practice test for the Biochem/Cell Bio subject test that they give you when you register. I did it with no prep, no review, to see how I'm doing. And it wasn't so bad as I'd worried. I scored a 580, in the 67th percentile, which is not too shabby for having taken it with no prep, going solely on memory. And my subscores for the three different areas (biochem, cell bio, and molecular bio) were pretty much exactly the same, meaning I'm equally strong (or weak) in all of them. Which is good.
Next step, going back over the test and making note of the stuff I missed that I should have been able to get, and making a list of things to review (like, say, the Krebs cycle!). Whee. Doesn't look like this stupid test will be so bad after all.
