Or, "Look, an actual Alias entry!"

Went to Dan and Debby's on Sunday for barbecue and had Caitlin Wayneburgers, made by Dan. Yummm. Abandoned everyone at 9 pm to sit two feet in front of the TV, eyes glued to the screen. I looked, according to my fiancé, like a little kid watching Saturday morning cartoons.

A lot of my thoughts have already been expressed by others on my friends list far more coherently than I could have managed, so I'll limit myself to these:

Thought number one (and the first thing both [livejournal.com profile] schneck128 and I said when I called her afterward): "WHERE THE HELL WAS HE!?!?" We were both seriously perturbed at the sad lack of beautiful, evil Mr. Sark. He'd better be in every damn episode from now on, that's all I'm sayin'.

Thought number two: there were times, and angles, where Jennifer Garner's resemblance to Lena Olin took my breath away. It's all in the cheekbones-- maybe a little in her nose. It was gorgeous. But still no substitute for actual SpyMommy.

Thought number three: Jack and Irina, working together for a year. Ohhhh, the plotbunnies this must be generating. If only I were a writer-- but I'm not. So I'll just have to read every single fic that all you brilliant Alias ficwriters generate. More more more, now now now. Please?

Thought number four: You mean to tell me that Mr. CIA Asset had the *only* copy of the aircraft schematics? That doesn't seem so smart to me. I presumed that the CIA was raiding the Covenant's place because they wanted to keep the chip out of bad-guy hands. But then Syd threatens to torch the chip, and Not!Kendall does what she wants. Hmmm, seems a leetle dumb to me. Jack'd never've let that happen.

Thought number five: Beard bad.

Thought number six: You go, Syd! Smack Vaughn DOWN!

Thought number seven: Sloane. Magic mushrooms. That's all I'm sayin'.

Right, think that's all for now. ;)

Hey you!

Decided to re-sub to CJ today, and also decided to try and find Cj-ers on LJ. And guess who I found?? :-)

I didn't realize there were people on CJ who were also Alias fans. I remember asking during the first season and no one responded! :-( But glad to see that either people were just not talkative about it, or they came around to the Lala side of the force, that being the Alias side, of course.

Heehee. I rhymed.

Later, chick!

Hi "Aunt Lala"!

Do you know, I thought of you yesterday-- I was unpacking and organizing all of my craft stuff, and came across the quilting book you gave me, and a copy of the email where we arranged to meet in Boston over Thanksgiving. :) Must have been a sign!

There are a few other Alias-watchers on CJ-- I know Susan (Slyvermont) and her daughter both watch. I didn't start until last season, though, so that's why I didn't reply when you asked during first season. It's all [livejournal.com profile] schneck128's fault-- she got obsessed during first season and then dragged me into it last year. Of course between Lena Olin and David Anders, there wasn't all that much dragging she had to do. *g* She and I don't live across the hall from each other anymore though, so we have to call each other on our cells after the episode so we can squeal or scream about it. ;)

That sounds like my brother and I, calling each other during every commercial of Buffy & Angel and then talking about it afterwards for ah hour or so. :-) I cancelled my cellphone last month (Verizon has the worst billing department in the world, in my experience) and haven't figured out another one to get yet, so he'd better be the one calling me tonight!

Ah, for the good ol' days before I was married (and for a year or two after I was married, actually) when Heddi and I used to call each other after Sisters and talk for a couple of hours! Sniff. That was before e-mail and free long distance minutes, so those were our only calls every week and we wrote actual letters (and quilt block exchanges).

I was thinking of you the other day, too - how much everything has changed since we first met on AOL. That seems like forever ago in your life, and yet my life, with all its drastic changes, doesn't seem to have changed all that much! Time goes by so much more slowly when you're old. :-P

Thought Number 8 -- Where was Will? Maybe he's hanging with Sark now, LOL.

Anyway, I agree I kept looking for Sark. At least his name was in the opening credits. Will's wasn't pout!

I'll miss Kendall, I love Terrance Quinn. Great actor. Can't wait to see SpyMommy and how that year of working together affected Jack and Irina's relationship. Only, I really thought SpyMommy had something to do with Syd's disappearance.

Her or Sloane anyway.

Sloane was so lying about that "peace" thing with Rimbaldi. There is more to that story I know it.

Wishing you tons of Sark if you wish me tons of Will? Is that a fair wish trade off?

I'll gladly wish you Will if you wish me Sark! I'm not sure Bradley Cooper is on the show anymore, though. Which is sad-- cause I liked Will. He was a sweetie.

Crazy Uncle Arvin is *definitely* hiding something! He's never, never what he appears to be. I loved, though, how he wasn't even rattled by Syd beating the crap out of him.

Here's hoping Lena Olin does LOTS of guest appearances!

Should I ask what Caitlin Wayneburgers are? I admit my curiosity is piqued.

We have a friend named Wayne. He lives with Dan and Debby. He makes really good hamburgers by mixing the ground beef with all manner of sauces and spices and chopped-up onions and peppers. These are traditionally known as "Wayneburgers." Except I don't like the bits of onions and peppers, so he sets aside some of the mixture to make hamburgers for me, before he puts the veggies in. These have been dubbed "Caitlin Wayneburgers."

It's much less interesting after I explain it. ;)
