I can't. I can't I can't I can't. This is worse than NJO. I can't stand reading about all the horrible stuff that's happening, even knowing it will probably be OK in the end. I can't make it through another 400 pages of that horrid DADA teacher and lines cut into Harry's hand. Please, somebody tell me it gets better.

Why am I crying?

I hated the DADA teacher. My sister and I were reading this one aloud and there were times she had to actually take the reading because I couldn't read without inserting comments of all sorts, generally involving not so nice words that rhyme with witch!

It's dark. It was painfully dark. But extremely well written. It flowed, it made sense, and the characterization was fantastic. I probably will reread because now that I know who dies, I'd like to go back and try to figure out what are the important parts that J.K. Rowling said she had to put in there so that people wouldn't be surprised or disappointed with certain outcomes in the end. And there were those moments that just shined. I think because of all the darkness, the tiny things became that much more wonderful, like Fred and George's civil disobedience, McGonagall's asides to Peeves, Neville and Ginny were both fantastic (I'm so proud of Neville!), and Hermione really shone throughout.

Dark, yes. But superbly written.

And you weren't the only one crying.
