YAY!

I filled out the volunteer form for synchro nationals, which are in San Diego this year. Hopefully they let volunteers see the whole competition for free, because I don't particularly want to pay $40 for the whole weekend plus another $20 just to see the Senior championships. I will if I have to, I'd just rather not.

And I found out that my old team made Nationals this year! The Metroliners came in THIRD at Easterns (I think the best we'd ever finished was 6th!) so they made it to nationals; I'm going to request to be assigned as their team guide, so I can see my old coach (and possibly some of the girls I used to skate with as we had a really wide age range). Woo! Excitement!

metroliners? i thought it was Chesapeake Stars?

I skated for the Stars 7th-8th grade and the Metroliners 11th-12th grade. But the Stars folded a long time ago.

You know, the first thing I thought when I saw the words "synchro nationals" was: "I didn't know she liked swimming so much..." Then I actually read further and saw the word "skate" and it all made so much more sense!
