jainaI won Judge's Choice in the Con-Dor masquerade! Basically that's second place. It was really fun and I got a trophy, $25, and tons of compliments. I took some pictures (including a bunch of the CUTEST two-year-old dressed as a Lego astronaut) and will put them up either later tonight or tomorrow.
My presentation ended up being pretty much what I alluded to earlier. I had Indybear-dressed-as-Frodo and a stick horse (brown unfortunately, instead of white) and I "galloped" onstage, then turned around and yelled offstage "If you want him, come and claim him!" Then I galloped a little further onstage, "dismounted," and held Frodo in front of me, wailing "No! No, Frodo! Don't give in!" Then I looked to the skies and hollered "I'm not even supposed to be here today! *pause for laughter* Glorfindel, this is all your fault!" And then I "remounted" my horse and galloped offstage, wailing "Daddyyyyyy!" People really seemed to like it. They laughed a lot. :)
Oog. And now I'm trying to get spirit gum (and spirit gum remover) off my ears. Blech.
