Apr. 4th, 2004 11:34 pmThere was no new Alias this week.
schneck128 came to visit this weekend, and we had SO MUCH FUN! She drove down on Friday night, and I introduced her to the joys of Red vs. Blue. This would prove to be invaluable the next day.
On Saturday we went to the Zoo! (That's the San Diego Zoo, for those who are wondering. I always capitalize it.) Much fun was had, even if we didn't wait in line for the pandas, and even if the polar bears left just as we got there. There was the *cutest* baby koala! And ducklings! We invented "duck, duck, hippopotamus," the fun new game! We dropped by the Sea Lodge (my wedding location) on the way back so I could show Amy around. And cause hey, beach.
Saturday night could be an entry unto itself. It was Rogue's birthday party, consisting of dinner at BJ's Pizza & Brewery (TWO party-size pizookies! And we ate both of them!) and games at our house. Cranium and Taboo were fun, but Catchphrase was the ultimate good time. Much clueing using RvB references ("Walruses have these. And warthogs!" "TUSKS!"; "And by 'bullseye' I of course mean--" "CAMOUFLAGE!") Also we are all certainly going to hell for the number of blasphemous Jesus references. It was really fun because we had invited a lot of small groups of people who didn't know each other, but by the end of the night everyone seemed to be really comfortable.
And today Amy helped me make a duct tape double! Now I can finally do drapings and fittings on costumes for *me*! I still have to stuff it and construct some sort of stand, but I can do all that on my own. The hardest part is over. Bless you, Amy!
Now I should go to sleep. I have lab (eh), class (ugh), and gymnastics (yay!) tomorrow.
