Holy crap, that little Tanith/Ben puff piece they showed was pure skating porn. Good Lord. *fans self*

I love how excited the skeleton announcers get. I can just picture them jumping up and down and shrieking at each other.

Many have said this before me, but SNOWBOARDCROSS IS AWESOME. They should have the events all over again. It'd be ratings gold.

1. I believe that it's actually "wholeshot" - at least, that's the way it is in drag racing, which is the context in which I'm familiar with it. That doesn't make it not funny, though.

2. OMG. It was SO HOT that it cut through my sick-induced stupor. Rawr. (It was just sad that we had to go from that to Ravensberger or whatever. Bring on the long program!)

3. I think the Skeleton announcers are just desparate to distract us from realizing that there's nothing particularly intriguing about watching somebody slide down a hill on their stomach making indiscriminate steering moves with their toes. At least in curling, people move. (Stupidest game ever! [Yes, I saw your message :o) ])

4. Me concur. On the Snowboard Cross. Replace skeleton with more snowboard cross, that's what I say.

Wholeshot doesn't make any more sense than hole shot. :( Unless I'm missing something?

And how hot was Tanith/Ben's original dance? Yowza!!! *is so in love with them*

I stand corrected. It is "holeshot." I looked it up on the drag racing website. It didn't give any good explanation for why it's called that though.

*shrug* I tried.
