People! You should all go play in [livejournal.com profile] meyerlemon's most excellent anon post, where, in her words, "you should comment with Fic Things you Secretly Want to Read (but are possibly Horribly Embarrassed By) and then other people can write you wee snippets about these things." IP logging is off and anon commenting is on.

Also, tonight's Project Runway was YAY!!!!!!!!!! No more Vincent, no more Vincent, no more Vincent! *dances* Happy for Jeffrey, thought it was a toss-up between him and Uli, and loved Kayne's dress way more than the judges did. I don't think Laura is long for this competition. I stand by my original prediction from a few eps ago of Michael, Uli, and Jeffrey for final three, with hopes of Kayne in final four so we get a decoy collection from him, assuming they're still doing that. Think of the sparklies!!!

I went. I read. I did not dare to post; too many nifty ideas popped into my head when I scrolled down the thread. Time Travel. Arranged marriages. Babyfic. NonCon.

Oi. My brain hurts. And I think I Have Shame.

Why did you not post? It is such great fun! Reading everyone else's stuff is awesome too, because half of it I'm like "seriously?" and the other half I'm "OMG, I want to read that too!"

No more Vincent, yay! No more of his "It makes me hot" icky-ness.

And I think you're right -- definitely Michael and Uli at the end. I love Kayne -- he's just so Kayne, yknow? And I agree that Jeffrey's done some cool work but I was just disgusted by how he treated Angela's mom. So now I'm hoping Laura managed to make it work, although I don't see how she can. Because she honestly does the same thing overandoveragain.

That's pretty much why I don't want to see a final collection from Laura-- it'd all be the same thing, really. Any of the other four, I'd be thrilled to see a collection from them. Especially Kayne. *Especially* Kayne.

I loved Kayne's dress and disliked Jeffrey's, so obviously I know nothing about couture. But that's not too surprising. My favorite part was when the judges asked Vincent to explain his hand sewing and details on his dress, and he totally avoided the question.

Honestly, there wasn't much real couture going on in this challenge, because the time was so limited. Personally, I thought it was a pretty crap challenge. Everyone played it super-safe except Jeffrey, the only one with immunity, which was probably the reason he won again.

I think that Laura might be in the final four, simply because they're doing the Bravo Psych-Out Edit on her for next week. Unless they're trying to psych us out with the psych-out.

HATED Jeffrey's dress. Ugly plaid and unwearable by anyone not a supermodel. I think he got the win because his model rocked it. Michael--everyone gets an off-day. And they were right, fold down the 'bunny ears' and it looked fine. Also, he took the crit very well for Project Runway. Laura--seen it before, forty years ago, though the idea wasn't BAD. Kayne: okay, so maybe I'm just a glitter whore, but I loved it. I would so totally buy that dress. The way the skirt flowed on the runway, and the detailing, and the sparklies! Uli: liked the braiding, but yawn. Can she please do something that isn't all drapy and figure-concealing? Empire waists are not the be-all and end-all of fashion.

And Vincent: so, did Angela leave a giant 'fleurchon' lying around and he thought tacking it on the butt of the dress was a great idea? And his model could barely walk! And really, I'd LOVE to wear a dress that says "If this fabric moves a milimeter either way, you'll get to see my boobs!" And pass the brain bleach every time he said something "turned him on" or "got him off." I REALLY don't want to know what gets you off, Vincent. He should have been gone last week with his non-design design, but good riddance if way too late.

The PR editing people are pretty good with not consistently going one way or the other on their psych-outs, so I think it's a toss-up. Maybe it really is her meltdown episode, or maybe it's like Bradley and the dog challenge. Who knows?

God, Vincent is just so creepy. Go back on your meds, dude. The whole country will appreciate it.

I do agree with your final 3, though I admit to great love of Kayne. I thought that dress last night was fabulous -- particularly the asymmetric lacing on the back of the bodice. And it moved so beautifully! Jeffrey's was interesting, I suppose, but it seemed to go over the edge into costume-y. But *shrug*, I never got Santino, either. I just hope we can get over the whole Jeffrey-Angela-Angela's mom soap opera!

Oh absolutely, I love love love Kayne. (Rogue is not so fond of him, though.) I just don't see him making the final 3 with the way the judges have been dogging him all season. Jeffrey I think got lucky this week-- he was the only one who didn't play it safe, because he had immunity, and the judges went along with his design rather than trashing it. When you go way out there, it's pretty much an even chance whether the judges will reward you for taking a risk and being unique, or toss you out for being weird and ugly.

I see Jeffrey differently than Santino, because Jeffrey always has such a clear idea of what he wants. Santino just kept adding more and more extra crap when he couldn't figure out what to do.

I'm entirely with you on all the Project Runway comments. Kayne's dress, which looked great on TV, must have looked very different in person: fake tacky gold sparklies instead of the rather elegant gold that came through the lens. I thought the asymmetrical corset was one of the most innovative, beautiful design elements I've seen on the show.

I figure either the dress read really differently in person, or the judges just see things really differently from the viewing audience. Loved that corset!
