The Ginny-cat had her well-cat vet checkup today. She's almost eleven pounds now, nice and healthy. And we got her microchipped! The checkup itself was quite uneventful (except for when she leapt away from the vet with the needle from the rabies vaccine still stuck in her), but oh boy howdy was she unhappy to be stuck in her carrier. She's not usually very vocal, so it was extra-heartbreaking to hear her very very sad and pathetic yowls. She seems to be forgiving us, though, which is good. I was a little worried about how far she'd regress, especially since she's been so much more affectionate lately. Poor darling neurotic kitty!

Vets are right up on the top of my "least appreciated professionals". Leaping felines with still imbedded needles indeed. Glad everyone is happy and healthy.

What a cutie! My cat, Buster, is microchipped (since he doesn't want to be a house-cat and so is primarily outside most of the time, I thought it best). It was worth it. Gives me tremendous peace of mind.
