In this journal:
I've posted 269 entries, not including this one.
I've posted 297 comments and received 382.
My first post: (20 March 2002) "Well, here it is-- I'm starting a weblog. Freaky. Who knows how much I'll actually use it, but it's a good place to put my upcoming Italy travel journal. Stay tuned for entries!"
Two years ago: (2 Nov 2001) My journal did not exist.
18 months ago: (1 May 2002) I got back my BEH.109 module 2 report today, finally. I did really well; amazingly well, actually, for having written the damn thing in a marathon 20-hour allnighter. Funny, the one thing they specifically commented that I should include in the rewrite was something I had consciously left out of the paper because I didn't understand the reasoning behind it. I could have included Thomas's calculations in my paper and BSed their explanations, and they'd never have known that I didn't have the foggiest clue what I was talking about.
I wish they would give you credit for being honest and admitting you don't know something, instead of pretending you do.
One year ago: (2 Nov 2002) Three entries, all in the wee hours-- fun with finishing my Arwen chase dress in time for Beth's Halloween party that night.
1:18 am: Ugh. Heavily-interfaced bodice + sewing machine without sleeve arm = pain pain pain. But both sleeves are in. I don't want to even contemplate having to take the temporary sleeve out after I finish the embroidery on the upper right arm. Wah.
Next, blessedly easier lower sleeves.
3:11 am: Phew. Lower sleeves almost almost done. Just need to edge white undersleeves. Fun with the Rolled Hem foot!
Then skirts! And then done for the night (oy oy)!
3:38 am: I give up for night. Cannot figure out rolled hem foot. Will have someone explain to me tomorrow. Sleep now.
Six months ago: (3 May 2003) I finished the underdress of my rainbow dress. I wore it to Senior Ball. It was way fun. Whoo.
Three months ago: (5 Aug 2003) Two entries-- one in the early morning when I couldn't get to sleep, the other in the evening, musing on Babylon 5: And the uniforms aren't the greatest, but they could certainly be worse (*coughStarTrekcough*), and I like their collars a lot, and why does Sheridan's collar lap one way and Ivanova's the other?
One month ago: (2 Oct 2003) A long post about GH, Earth2, and the Enderverse books, including a description of the random TV shows and episodes on one of my home-recorded tapes: GH: About 10 minutes from...um...1998? Featuring L&L2's first kiss, with REAL LUCKY! (Oh JJ, I miss you so! [Er, that'd be Jonathan Jackson, not JJ Abrams. Just to have that straight.])
Yesterday: Nothing yesterday, my most recent entry was 30 Oct 2003: Dan's Will Turner costume is fiiiiiniiiished! Pictures here kindly ignore the curly hobbit-hair in the pictures. It'll be slicked straight when he wears it tomorrow.
Huh. Definitely not as fun and introspective as
