san diego not quite as much on fire

I realized I didn't do a fire follow-up post-- I did end up going to work on Wednesday. My coworkers were all fine, and so were their houses, although the fire came within a block of one person's house. The remaining fires have been at least mostly contained by this point. I flew out of San Diego yesterday and spotted at least two areas still burning. Crazy.

I'd been wondering about you and everyone in San Diego and hoping you were OK. I was just too busy getting ready for Halloween and I didn't have time to check JL or e-mail people I know.

David had to fly to LA for the on business last week. When he got back home he was telling me the smoke was so bad, even the airplane smelled like smoke! His clothes even smelled of the smoke. I hadn't realized the fires were that bad.
