Tell me about the greatest fic, the one you'd give to people who aren't in fandom (although, I'd think they'd need to have at least a familiarity with the source material, but that's up to you) and say, "OH MY GOD, YOU HAVE TO READ THIS, IT'S SO GOOD!" It doesn't have to be anything recent - it can be the first or last fic you read, however many years or months or days ago. If you can't narrow it down, pick two. And please, feel free to discuss the fic in the comments.

It's completely awesome for finding really amazing stuff you missed out on the first time, or rediscovering old favorites. I was pleased as punch to find a bunch of X-Files epics that I'd never read, and a Labyrinth fic that was really quite decent. (However-- seriously, y'all, you can stop reccing Freedom's Just Another Word for Nothing Left to Lose anytime now, cause it's already in there about ten times. Yes, it is astounding and amazing and yes, it made me cry, too. But c'mon, give us your next fic down the list!)

God, I suck so badly at this. I ended up double-posting and then I tried to delete the wrong one, but it's still showing up twice on cj.net. AGH.

Yeah, I saw. :D It just requires an index rebuild. I'd have gotten to it faster but I wanted to update the new/upcoming book sidebar before I did.

I assume it timed out on you? Gah. I need to get the WP site up and running this weekend.

No problem.

If it times out during the first save, the best thing to do is just go back to the Editing menu and see if the post is there. Usually it makes it into the system and just timed out building the live version, so you can go back in and save it again. Back-buttoning will create a second post.
