New icon. Pretty, pretty dresses!

Visited the La Jolla Sea Lodge today as a possible wedding site. We liked it a lot, but their "wedding packet" contained no information about how much it actually costs to have a wedding there-- it just gave prices for their catering. Thus, more investigation is in order. Have handed off this particular hotel to Rogue, since he really seemed to like it. We were going to have a looksee at the Handlery too, but they actually *charge* you to park there, lousy bastards. I have an appointment to see the place on Tuesday, so I guess I'll cough up the $2 then, but it seemed silly to pay it twice.

And so it goes. I have one midterm Tuesday and another Wednesday. Waaaaah.

Why thank you. :)

Yes, definitely more expensive, but that is due to the Sea Lodge being RIGHT ON THE BEACH. Literally. Also, there are other hotels in La Jolla Shores, easily walking distance from the Sea Lodge, which are cheaper and at which we can most probably block rooms.

Not sure if this is the right answer, but I found that oftentimes catering *was* the cost for the wedding. There'd be a nominal wedding ceremony charge, but they really look to catering (Food & Beverage) as being the charge for the event...

I've found that true at some of the hotels we visted, but for this one they specifically mentioned that there were room rental costs and ceremony costs-- and then they didn't tell you what they were. GRRR. We'll just have to beat it out of them! *g*

Oh also, I was going to ask you-- where did you hold your day-before karaoke party? And how'd you get the karaoke equipment? I'm still really jazzed about the idea, just trying to sort out logistics...

We got the karaoke equipment from the same guy who organized our DJ for the reception... And as for the location, we used this old building/outside patio at a golf course.
