1. Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, find line 4. Write down what it says.
"the King of Calormen-- don't you remember"
The full sentence is "Don't you remember-- it was the very day before the ambassadors came from the King of Calormen-- don't you remember planting the orchard outside the north gate of Cair Paravel?" I'm rereading the Narnia books. :) Currently in the middle of Prince Caspian.
2. Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you touch first?
Just air, but if I roll my rolly chair, I hit a bookshelf.
3. What is the last thing you watched on TV?
Uh. A Whose Line is it Anyway repeat, late last night.
4. WITHOUT LOOKING, guess what time it is.
1:15
5. Now look at the clock; what is the actual time?
1:20
6. With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?
The refrigerator running next to me (ha ha, yes, it actually is) and the thump-thump-thump of the incubator down the hall. Jennifer's growing up some more protein.
7. When did you last step outside? What were you doing?
About 9:30 this morning; I walked over to lab from ballet class.
8. Before you came to this Web site, what did you look at?
My gel. Still not destained enough.
9. What are you wearing?
My running shoes, my skating pants (the ones with zippers up the side, so you can take them off while your skates are on), the "here's where the fun begins" Han Solo T-shirt that I won at Tim's last booksigning, and my charcoal grey MIT zip-up hoodie.
10. Did you dream last night?
I'm sure I did, but I can't remember what. Not too much sleep last night. Damn you, 8 am ballet!
11. When did you last laugh?
Probably half-hearted laughter while talking to Jennifer about how miserably this current purification scheme is working.
12. What is on the walls of the room you are in?
Let's see-- we've got windows on one wall, a big calendar (still on March) on another, a chalkboard on the third, and bookshelves along with a bunch of Brandon's papers on the fourth.
13. Seen anything weird lately?
Aside from way too many people with bared midriffs who just should *not* be wearing those kinds of clothes?
14. What is the last film you saw?
Um. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
16. If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy first?
A new car. Civic Hybrid, probably. And then LOTS of TV shows on DVD.
17. Tell me something about you that I don't know.
I lived in Germany for four years and actually chipped off bits of the Berlin Wall after it fell.
18. If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do?
ETA: I came up with my own answer, rather than just using Jenn's. I'd make it so you have to have a license in order to have a child. I don't know how I'd do that, but I would.
19. Do you like to dance?
Of course! Do people not?
20. George Bush: is he really doing Dick Cheney?
It wouldn't surprise me.
21a. Imagine your first child is a girl. What do you call her? Jadzia Christine
21b. Imagine your first child is a boy. What do you call him? Alec Daniel
22. Would you ever consider living abroad?
Yes, if I could speak the language. (English or Spanish, that's a fair chunk of the world, right?)
