What kind of world is it where my dentist appointment today was *less* painful than Tuesday's Gilmore Girls episode? I mean, honestly. (Only one teeny cavity that I'm getting filled Tuesday! Hurray for my teeth!)

Also, Jericho is really a terrible show. And yet I cannot stop watching it. Hmmm.

Oh and! Dies the Fire finally arrived from Amazon, so I can be all-apocalypse, all the time! Hurray!

ETA: Apparently, Dark Angel S2 actually is good for something! [livejournal.com profile] sirrogue just saw a Supernatural promo, and the following ensued:
Him: "Oh hey! Now I know who the other guy from Supernatural is!"
Me: "Yes, it's Dean and Alec. Except Dean isn't Dean, Alec is Dean."
Him: "Then who's Dean?"
Me: "Dean is Sam."
Him: "Who the hell is Sam?"

And I-don't-know's on third, so there.

I finally got around to watching the tivoed pilot of Jericho. I was not terribly impressed, but as there's a serious lack of post-apocalyptic television (HURRY UP BSG DAMMIT) I'll probably keep watching until it's inevitably cancelled. I realized as I was watching, though, that while I love post-apoc TV/books/movies etc, it's not really the apocalypse itself, or the immediate aftermath, that I'm interested in. It's how people go on living afterwards. So the original BSG miniseries-- while I do love it, it's not as compelling to me as the actual show is. Less "OMGWTFCYLONS our planets all got bombed to hell" and more "okay, we've got 50,000 people left in the human race on a bunch of crap-ass ships, *now* what do we do?"

In other post-apoc TV news, I got my box set of S1 Dark Angel from Amazon today. YAY YAY YAY. Also I got Sky High, which is an absolute genius movie.

And best of all, I don't have to go to work tomorrow morning! I can sleep in! OMG! *is really really excited* And then we're going to a Padres game tomorrow night!
