I have this really weird urge to make something with tons of rhinestones and sequins and beading. Not even a recreation or anything, just-- something sparkly. (As if I don't have enough to do, these days! Eesh!)

I think this must be Kayne's fault. Either that or those damn Harry Potter plagiarists.

Edit: Oh crap. I think I want to make the MR Hindi Wedding Dress for next year. Because dammit, I *will* make Dragon*Con if it kills me. (well okay, if it actually kills me I wouldn't be able to get there. but you take my meaning.)

I think that's partly what started this off-- one of the other people at work has been hot-fixing crystals onto the poppy costumes and it made me long for sparklies. *le sigh*

I'm hoping that if I start saving now, it'll be possible. Since it's over Labor Day weekend, I can hopefully take just one vacation day, or if I don't have any, then just leave Friday night and at least have Sat/Sun and Monday morning.

Only two! Well, this year I've only made myself one so far. *shrug* I'm lucky to have one new costume to add to the D*Con bunch each year. Maybe next year I can have 2 new ones and retire the Leias.

Well, one of the two was for my husband, so I only really got one new one. ;-) I think I was just not as excited about them because I didn't love-love the costumes themselves, the way I usually do-- I made them because they fit the Masq skit I was planning. Next year I want to make a costume because I absolutely love it and have to have it for my own. *g*

It's Kayne. It has to be. Because I now am looking at my skating dresses (freakin' PRACTICE dresses) and thinking "You know, these so don't have enough stones. I wonder if Marion could find a way to at least add more glitz. Maybe gold stones on the green dress. That would be pretty." Kayne is sending out sparkly rays into people's brains and turning them into glitter whores.

And you should totally make the Hindi Wedding Dress. Because that would just be awesome.

Hey - if you want to help me design my next ballroom gown, I'd love the help - and I'd gladly requisition you for dying fabric for me. I want to make a more updated gown for smooth and standard, without the feather trim...and probably something with a color gradiant, but I don't have the time or resources to dye fabric myself for it...let me know if I could schedule and pay for your services with that

Finally saw the Miss USA PR today, in a rerun. Kayne is my new gay boyfriend. I want him to design dresses for my dolls, dammit. That dress was a barbie gown. The guy who designs barbie gowns has Nothin' on Kayne.

Also found Malan. Am sad. He would have been so much fun to watch. :(
