absolutely losing my mind

My mom sent me a sweet little card in the mail today, along with a check for my new skates (they're my Christmas gift, very belated since I took forever to actually buy the damn things). I remember reading it as I walked in the door.

I cannot find it. I've turned the apartment upside down. I've looked in the microwave. I've looked under the couch cushions. I checked under the sink. Nothing. Nada. I cannot fathom where this thing could have gone.

The apartment is not that big! I don't understand. :( Hopefully I'll find it when I wake up tomorrow?

It was really weirding me out when I started seeing this MIT thing pop up on everyone's LJs! And then it just made me feel nostalgic and fuzzy.

Now, see, this would be a great time to use my "See this ring?" icon except that you have to know the story to not be offended and think I'm a massive egotist.

Okay, I'm trying to be a good girl and not read spoilers, but I've been gobbling up S9 promo images like crazy. Gateworld put up some particularly yummy Ben Browder ones the other day: ( why hello Mr. Browder's arms, and how are you today? )

So, still pretty much looking like Crichton, but with dogtags and a distressing lack of leather.

( Claudia, however, seems to be doing much better in the leather and...other things...department: )

I'm rather worried that S9 is going to...well, for lack of a better word, suck, but as long as there's a Ben or a Claudia on my screen I'll keep watching, because I am so very excited about seeing them acting again. (I refer you back to my earlier remarks about cliffs and the following-off thereof.)

Also, I hope they don't make Michael Shanks keep the scruff the whole time. I mean, I understand they don't want us confusing MS and BB (I can't even type that with a straight face, I always giggle at the memory), but we aren't that dumb, and the scruff ain't that attractive. He also appears to be wearing his hair longer, which I hope does not continue. (Never again with Sam and Daniel having the same haircut!)

Oh dear. I seem to have converted into a full-fledged SG1 fan when I wasn't looking. I guess I should go get an icon now. (ETA: Well, that was easy. And also fun. It's two, two, two fandoms in one!)
